In the presence of Oliver Stone and Albert Ruddy (Jury President & twice Oscar winning producer) ‘Twelve In A Box’ won the coveted Audience Award at its first outing in front of paying audiences.
‘Twelve In A Box’ was in competition with 21 other films in 3 categories for the Audience Award. The film was originally selected for competition out of 1000 submissions from around the world and scooped the award after playing to 4 sold-out screenings.
‘I’m extremely pleased at the result’ commented John McKenzie the director ‘I knew we were in with a shout for the award after seeing the audience reaction during the screenings. At the end of the day, we just set out to provide an entertaining film with mass appeal, and its very gratifying to see that we’ve achieved this goal … the Swiss audiences were fantastic, they obviously really enjoyed the film.’
